This part of the city is dominated by the construction of detached family houses, whereas the entire university campus is based on the concept of solitary faculty buildings interconnected with roads, pavements and green surfaces of high quality. It is precisely those quality green surfaces that contribute to the overall quality of the space, which is why this theme is present throughout the project as a characteristic “green” theme. It is used as a reference matrix which is transformed in the new urban conglomerate. In this sense, the concept of the “green environment” is not copied so as to form a new closed volume, but is rather divided into three plates, orientated towards the south, and filled with “green” elements which traverse the communal parts of the buildings, connecting the northern entrance plateau with the slightly urbanistic structure of the housing development located on the southern border of the parcel. The central part of the block, intended for public purposes, has thereby opened towards the city, creating a link with the surrounding green surfaces.
