INTERIOR, HOTEL KATARINA, SELCE, built 2016. authors Rajka Bunjevac mag.ing.arch, Boris Petrović mag.ing.arch The Katarina Hotel (ex Varaždin Hotel) in Selce has dominated the western part of Selce for many years. Since its construction in the 1970s, its diverse contents have complemented the tourist amenities of Selce. Having survived the transition years, today started a radical reconstruction. For that purpose, the first phase of this project was the reconstruction and modernization of the lobby area and 176 rooms. The lobby area has dominant view at the Adriatic sea, an it was emphasized by new organisation of central functions and contemporary design. Rooms are also spacious and full of light, so the whole project was focused on minimal design, with a touch of home atmosphere.
