We began creating the urban planning concept for this complex by analysing and reinterpreting the existing topographic structure of this part of Yerevan and the quality of the location which has interesting lines of sight towards and from the city. The sturdy rocky mounds which close that part of the city from the north form a hinterland for another mound which has lost its original and natural shape due to previous construction. By redefining the shape of the surrounding slopes, rocky terrace shapes are formed on the location, dominated by the vertical volumes of skyscrapers, the colour and material of which is reminiscent of the stone of the surrounding slopes. From afar, their shape reinterprets the natural fractured shapes of the rocks.
